Eren along with Mikasa attempted to free her, but they failed. She pleaded with them to leave due to the presence of Titans which destroyed all human beings living in the area where a titan with a height of 14 meters approached their home was called the “Smiling Titan” .Then, Hannes arrived, initially declaring that he was trying to save all three ( Eren, Carla, Mikasa) and therefore pay the debt he owed to Grisha Yeager, who previously helped his wife from the scourge that struck Shiganshina. Shiganshina but the man was unable to go after the titan since the man was “petrified of fear.” Hannes determined to protect his two children by putting Carla Yeager in the rubble on her request.
