Samuel Aot is a French-born artist who has been living and working in the United States for over two decades. He is known for his paintings, sculptures, and installations that explore the relationship between humans and nature. Aot was born in France in 1967 and grew up in a small town near Paris. He studied art at the University of Paris before moving to New York City in 1992. There, he began to work as an artist and started to exhibit his work internationally. Samuel was there when the Colossal Titan appeared at the Trost District’s outskirts. He and his fellow recruits were thrown off the wall by the steam blast from his body. Most of them were able use their Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Equipment to maneuver to anchor themselves against the wall. Samuel, however, is struck in the head with one of the stones during the fall.
Also, Sasha stops Samuel from dying by shooting one of her Harpoons into one of his legs. Eren Jaeger tells Sasha that Samuel should be left alone and then encourages other recruits to attack the Colossal Titan. Sasha is then sent by Eren Jaeger to the Colossal Titan.

PARADIS WAR ARCO
After Operation Reconquest of the Maria Wall is over, Samuel and Daz are joined by the Jaegerites. They then mobilize to the Paradis island port to guard the Azumabito Family’s airship and prevent any enemy using it. Connie Springer and Armin Arlert prevent them from getting the airship. Armin mentions that the plane is needed to chase Marleyan soldiers fleeing the island. After hearing this, Samuel and Daz agree remove the explosives from their airship.Floch forster informs Jaegerists about Armin and Connie’s betrayal. Samuel shoots Armin. Samuel orders Daz and Connie to sink their plane. Connie is furious at his fellow comrades. Samuel is temporarily distracted by the transformation of the Battleship Titan (Female Titan) and is then shot down by Connie. Samuel begs Connie to not kill him but Connie ignores him and shoots him as well. Samuel’s attack against Daz is a success.
