Ymir, the giant, green-skinned being who was said to have died in a fiery eruption on Mount Doom, has finally been killed. According to some sources, Ymir was killed by a group of warriors who were trying to stop him from destroying the city of Asgard. Others say that Ymir was killed by Loki, the god of mischief and mischief-makers. Whatever the case may be, Ymir’s death is a major event in Norse mythology. And it’s likely to have a significant impact on the way people think about gods and their role in society.

One of the New Titans Might Be Ymir’s Titan

In the first episode of Season 4 Episode 1, there was no trace for the beloved Historia Ymir. (It’s important to remember that we’re discussing Christa’s Ymir and herTitan and not Ymir Fritz, the founder of Titan.) In the context of Ymir having played such a significant role in the previous seasons, it’s an odd feeling to learn that she’s gone, without any reason. However, Attack on Titan delves deeply into the real-life horrors of war and it is the sad reality of the battle. There are times when people die during combat or taken hostage and don’t discover their fate after a long time.

Ymir was not a jolly life, to put it lightly. She concealed her identity until she was forced to protect Christa and then she risked her life repeatedly and over again to protect her. However, in the end she decided to leave to join Reiner and Bertholdt and come back along together with Eren or Christa. She took this decision after she realized that Christa’s (aka Historia’s) was likely to be safe. Although Ymir’s motives were somewhat hazy but the general concept is that she was resentful for having eaten Reiner Bertholdt’s friend, and did not want them to return to Marley empty handed. However, by doing this she sealed her own fate, since she was already a victim of a previous retribution by the inhabitants of Marley and was left to die.

The titan of Ymir is smaller than other titans, and has a large head, which is why she’s dubbed the “Jaw” titan. Her titan is also extremely quickly — quicker than the majority of titansand she speaks in a way through her titan. Ymir gained the power from”Jaw titan “Jaw titan” (one of the nine) through taking the form of Marcel, Reiner and Bertholdt’s friend. We haven’t seen Ymir since a while and another titan appears suspiciously similar to one with the power of Ymir.

The titan was featured on Season 4 Episode 1 and was working with Marley fighters. He had nails that were similar to the Ymir’s, had a strong jaw and was similarly shaped and able to run on all fours and strike swiftly.

The majority of fans believe Galliard has eaten the titan of Ymir. This means that, if there wasn’t a titan (or two) between them, Galliard might have eaten Ymir. Therefore, all indications indicate that this “lion looking” titan in Season 4 Episode 1 possessing the power of Ymir. Ymir is likely dead.

Historia’s Memory Indicated Ymir Might Have Died ( Or Ymir is Dead)

Although Ymir’s fate has never been explicitly stated The memory from Historia suggested it was possible that Ymir was likely killed by a titan. However, the memory was quick in the third season that it could be unable to catch it. I didn’t notice it initially myself. The video took place at the time that Historia read Ymir’s letter and then viewed Ymir’s memory.

It is evident that these memories illustrate Ymir being tied just as Eren did when Christa was requested to take him to eat. In this instance it appears that Ymir did indeed eat him.

The moment isn’t revealed however, we are left to speculate based on Galliard being able to use Titan powers that are very like her own.

It’s only natural that Ymir is dead. Reiner and Bertholdt probably took their daughter back Marley because they needed to let go of their plan of taking down Eren to take on a new battle at the time. The inhabitants of Marley don’t have any sympathy for the Eldians and they have put much effort in training a few Eldians to be able to take on the power of the Founding Titan. There’s no reason to simply leave their power to an individual they could not be sure of (aka Ymir.) Instead they would give Ymir with someone else who was been specially trained and demonstrated their trustworthiness. That’s right, Reiner and Bertholdt knew that when they took Ymir to their home town they were bringing her to certain death.

Season 4 confirmed what the fans have been waiting for. We’ll not see Ymir once more.
