Alert Big Spoiler

He was only temporary but he accomplished the great feat of exterminating Kishin and earned the title of “hero.” Even though his fame was not as high as the rest of the “Five Grand Generals”, many Bushis still admired him, particularly the Hojo Bushi Band. He disappeared shortly after that, and Jisai wasn’t there. Many believed he was dead.

Later, however, it was revealed that he was the “Obsidian Goddess’s Sheath” and was forced to hide in a village controlled by the Kishin to fulfil his role as “Obsidian Goddess’s Sheath”, which was to protect the Musashi (the “Vessel of Obsidian Goddess”). Kojiro Kanemaki is also a child of Jisai. He is approximately the same age as Musashi. Jisai raised Musashi and Kojira together, teaching them swordsmanship and aiming to make them formidable Bushis.

The “obsidian 8s” eventually found Jisai’s exact location and saved Kojiro (and Musashi) one day. His life was taken by cow tearing, where his body was torn into pieces. Both Kojiro as well as Musashi were traumatized by the experience. Musashi continues to strive for his dream of becoming a Bushi despite all the trauma. Kojiro was left with a negative impression from the execution, which made him question the existence of Bushi and Jisai’s teachings.
