PERSONALITY
Kie is very kind and warm. She has tried to be kind and loving since the death of her husband, father of six children. She tries to teach her children independence, while trying to protect them.Kie has a positive attitude and encourages others, especially when she appears in Nezuko kamado’s subconscious. She encourages her to get up and fight for her brother and encourages her to try her best.
HISTOLOGY Kie Kamado
Kie was married to Tanjuro Kamado long before the events. They had six children together. She was left to care for the children after her husband died.

Final Selection Arc
In the beginning of the story, at late evening Kie is able to stop her child, Tanjiro prior to when he departs to sell a basket of charcoal. Kie observes that the face of Tanjiro is filthy and kneels to wash the ash that has accumulated on his cheeks. She then saying that he doesn’t need to drive to the village to make money selling charcoal on the night that is snowy. Tanjiro says he’d like to go to the market so that everyone will be able to enjoy their meals to the fullest as Kie smiles and expresses gratitude to for his kindness. When her other children sit around Tanjiro, arguing they’d like to go with Tanjiro, Kie tells them that they won’t be able to because they don’t walk at the speed of him and aren’t able to be carried on a cart as he’s not going to be.
Kie along with the other members of their household are seen escorting Tanjiro off and hope that he is safe and speedy return.
