Kyoko Kirigiri is a Japanese journalist and author who has written extensively on the history of Japan and its people. She is the author of a comprehensive guide to Japan, which is available in both English and Japanese. Kyoko Kirigiri was born in Tokyo in 1965. After studying at Kyoto University, she worked as a news reporter for several Japanese newspapers before starting her own media company in 1998. She has since written several books on Japan, including an account of the Meiji Restoration and the rise of modern Japan. At the time of her enrollment at Hope’s Peak, her number was changed to 910. As the title of Ultimate detective, Kyoko is very good in analysing clues. Kyoko can be described as adept at identifying the good in motives of others. For instance, after the initial trial (Sayaka Maizono’s murder) Kyoko is in Makoto’s room to inform her that she believes that in the end Sayaka really wanted to make sure that he didn’t take the blame for her death. That is the reason she put “11037” upon the wall. Another instance is during the second trial at school in which she reveals that the ID card which was stolen is Chihiro Fujisaki’s. Kyoko states that Mondo Owada broke it in order to keep Chihiro’s secrets from being revealed.
Relationships Kyoko Kirigiri
Family:
Jin Kirigiri
There isn’t much information about their relationship. She simply stated that they were family, not much more. Jin quit her when she was just a young girl. When she realized that Makoto was in the disposal area Kyoko put her life at risk to help Makoto. Kyoko was then able to show her hands that were scarred to Makoto as an excellent sign of confidence from her, since she declared that she had shown their hands to only those she considered close to family.
In the course of the final Class Trial, Makoto was the one to tell all the participants (including her) to not succumb to despair. Kyoko Kirigiri is a close friend of Aoi after she joined Kyoko’s Future Foundation with her and the other survivors.
